Singers and non-singers - this is the class for you! In this semi-personalized course, singers of all levels and genres will study the techniques, musicianship, and aural skills needed to level up their singing. Taking a flexible approach, areas studied will include breath control and support, the rudimentary physiology of breath and tone, diction and vowel formation, practical use of the IPA, musicianship and aural skills, audition and stage techniques, stage presence, song study, character development and more.
Receive three thirty-minute 1:1 live Zoom sessions with a professional voice teacher in addition weekly studio classes (Zoom) and to 12 (8 summer) content lessons and ongoing individualized feedback. Like any physical activity, 20-30 minutes of daily practice is encouraged.
Additional fees to be invoiced separately: Supplemental Instructor fee of $_(tba)__ and $30 Materials fee (12-month access)
Due to the nature of this course, the course will end 18 (10 summer) weeks after each session start date.
Course may be repeated multiple times. Barstow campus students must also complete a 0.5 credit performing arts course on campus.
