Level: College Prep
Prerequisites: Algebra I and Geometry;
*Graphing calculator or online graphing tool required
Honors Credit: To receive Honors credit, you must enroll concurrently in the Honors Addendum for this course. Honors credit includes a GPA weight of 0.3 points.
Algebra II begins with a review of linear functions and systems. It progresses to the development of quadratic, logarithmic, exponential, and rational and irrational algebraic functions. Algebra II H begins with a discussion on sets of numbers, polynomials, and solving equations. It progresses to functions, relations, domain and range, linear functions, systems of linear equations and inequalities, quadratic functions, complex numbers, exponential and logarithmic functions, rational functions, conic sections, higher degree functions, and sequences and series. In both classes, functions will be evaluated by their properties, definitions, and graphs and applications, including real world approaches.
Office Hours: Instructor office hours will occur on weekdays between 3:50 pm and 4:50 pm CST. The class instructor will communicate the exact days and times at least one week prior to the beginning of the course.
